Roopa Ravindran is a leading Dancer, Actress, Choreographer, Model, Teacher, Director and Art Entrepreneur. She holds a Master’s Degree in Bharathanatyam and Bachelor’s Degree in Kathak and Choreography from Bangalore University. She learnt the Art under the tutelage and blessings of Guru Late Dr. Maya Rao, Guru Pt. Rajendra Gangani. She completed her Bharathanatyam Rangapravesha under the Guidance of Guru Dr. SuparnaVenkatesh. She won the best actress award for Sangaati(Short Film). She is a ‘Graded Artist’ by Doordarshan. Roopa Ravindran is the current brand ambassador of Mysore Sandal Soaps in Karnataka and Khadhi Grama Udyog, Jharkand. She is also the Cultural Convener in Bangalore Central University. Her journey in Art started as a Child Artist with more than 12 feature films and she continues this effort as a lead actress in Art movies and Short films. She produced a Kannada art film “Mookanayaka” directed by Sri. Baraguru Ramachandrappa. She has received the Women Achiever’s Award for her excellence in Arts (Kathak Dance) by WeLeed. Roopa has travelled extensively in India and abroad to more than 13 countries.
Roopa has been actively involved in spreading her love for Performing Arts and works closely with Educational Institutions, Corporate, NGOs, Volunteer workshops in Rural Areas, Villages, Adivasi, Slums and many others.
Roopa’s dance performances have received applause and appreciation from various Art lovers in India and abroad. Her performances are numerous and the journey continues.
